Body language is the use of physical behavior, expressions, and mannerisms to communicate nonverbally, often done instinctively rather than consciously. Facial expressions are used by humans to convey various types of meaning in various contexts. We all know that nonverbal communication is always happening. The expressions we see in the faces of others engage a number of different cognitive processes. A facial expression  is one or more motions or positions of the muscles beneath the skin of the face.
